My oldest son had the same trouble. He was breast feed so it couldn't have been formula. I started expressing milk and calculation a lilliputian rice cereal to weight it down. That along with Mylecon drops and a lot of spit up dress it became managable.

I would speak to you peds over again. my lil daughter did the same thing she has acid reflux and with meds an irresolute her formula to Nutraigen she has been doing great. we e'er keep her upwardly on pillows or upright position.and even puther down for naps in her swing that worked great. i asked to take her put right onto her formula later she beginning started throwing up none of my other kids could utilise the formula and Nutramigen worked great.what formula did your other kids use? maybe she can't isomil i'd wait two weeks if she is even so throwing upwardly take her milk changed again. my daughters weight stayed upward and she is so chunky that was never a problem if you don't get anywhere with your peds ask to take a cookie swallow washed maybe her acid reflux is worse than you recall and needs stronger meds thats how i found out with my daughter. i stayed ontop of it and got the exam i asked for.

Try the nestle expert beginning formula, I constitute that it was not only cheaper, but both my guys were spitter uppers and it helped tremendously. (PS, all formula is FDA regulated so buying a store brand or a cheaper brand is safe).

Also if there is diarreah, talk to your doctor nigh a lactose free formula. But if non diarreah, do not attempt this route equally the lactose free stuff is really constipating.

my son had severe reflux and he had to be put on Reglen to assistance him finish spitting up so much. But, the doctors only put him on it because he was having weight gain bug. I had to take him for a weight check every two weeks to ensure his meds were calculated right and to make sure he was notwithstanding gaining. Equally long as your baby is gaining alright the doctors won't put her on anything else. You could effort cereal in her bottle if you are bottle-feeding. I don't think anything else is wrong with her. three of my four kids take been spitty, I was a "happy-spitter". He spit merely didn't scream or lose weight. Yours is probably a happy-spitter too. it will simply drive y'all nuts. Mine always got better one time they were on solid foods since it weighed downward in their stomachs better.

Practiced luck!

I would enquire the dr if information technology could possibly be reflux. Did the dr mention a possible allergy to lactose? I would explore those two possibilities. Not also sure about home remedies though.
Good luck and I hope she feels ameliorate soon!

Personally, I think that if she is gaining weight and otherwise healthy, she is probably just a spitty baby. Some babies spit alot, some don't spit at all. I would non recommend letting her slumber all the time in a swing or baby seat- that is bad for their dorsum and developing movement. I would definately recommend not using pillows to prop her- suffocation chance. If you want to prop her- I would prop the mattress by placing a pillow or folded blanket under i side of the mattress to make one cease college.

Y'all may besides consider trying different bottles or if she is a quick eater, requite her niggling breaks during the bottle. we tried these things with our piffling male child after we had switched him to the soy formula, and information technology seems to help. when we moved up to the fast flow nipple, he spit upward a flake more in the beginning, but at present he is used to in and the spit upward is minimal.

Hi J.,

I'one thousand sorry that your baby is having then much trouble. If she has acid reflux, then you probably want to make sure she is sitting upright after feeding. This will help her to keep the food downward. Y'all also may effort sleeping her on a wedge so that she isn't fully flat while sleeping too. I know at that place are medicines to help with acid reflux for babies - so perhaps your Dr. tin can give her some. The other matter you may want to consider is that formula is very difficult for babies tum'south to digest. It has cows milk in it which babies have a very hard time digesting. At that place are milk banks that sell chest milk to give to your baby. You may want to try switching to breast milk and she if she does better. It is very piece of cake to digest and may exist just the thing to aid your babe. Also - if you lot work with a lactaction consultant you can even get your own milk supply back - information technology will exist a lot of work - merely completely worth information technology if he helps your baby to spit up less and digest her food better.

Good luck

My son was the same way he had refulx also. They put him on soy besides which helped alittle also, what worked for me was not laying him downwards subsequently he drank his bottle. I held him in the upright position and that seemed to work. also burping more than often helped us as well.

Your babe sounds just like my daughter when she was that age. I kept pushing at the doctors to discover out why of course they didnt desire to because of her wieght gain was groovy. That was considering I feed her subsequently she got sick. Finally got a medico to listen. My girl has Acrid REFLUX and now is upwards to 30 mg a day. She hasn't thrown up from it for about 1 year now. Nosotros are suffering from dental issues from it taking so long for someone to listen to me. You know your child just be persistant. My best wishes for you lot and your child.

I didn't have this problem with either of my kids, so I don't know much almost it just I practice have a question. If she has acid reflux isn't there a concern virtually harm from that, such as to the lining of the tum or esophagus? You didn't mention if she is beingness treated for that.

Ane other thing I desire to mention is about babies sitting for too long. This past summer a study was released indicating that young babies sitting for LONG periods in car seats or swings or propped in some other fashion are at a slightly increased gamble of SIDS. I think the advice was to readjust them into a different position every 20 minutes and to make sure their heads aren't flopped over. Here is a link to one article on the subject http://www.cbc.ca/health/story/2007/07/19/sids.html?ref=rss Peradventure talk to your pediatrician or see if you can discover more specific information well-nigh it online.

I have a 21 month old and a three calendar month old, crazy isnt it? my older child wasnt a spitter, just the baby is. the doc put him on soy formula ( didnt assistance ) and he was on acrid reflux medicine until the canteen ran out. I am not sure if this helped either. I think it is gas more that reflux. he only spits up occasionally now. I recollect information technology was but an immature digestive organization. He was 5 weeks early. I think equally long as she is gaining weight and she is only spitting up occasionally and non that much, everything should exist okay. I did switch the baby to the isomil sensitive formula ( the orange can ). He has improved since so. not certain if i would attribute this to the formula or simply the fact that he is getting older. expert luck!!!

You simply wrote my son's life story!! We tried everything likewise..The Similac..The Isomil..The Nutramigen..The Zantac increase.. putting rice cereal in the Nutramigen..and I plant the one that is PERFECT for him...The new Similac Sensitive RS..It is a lactose free formula, and has rice starch added to the formula to make it settle in his stomach amend, so I don't wearable it and he keeps it downward!! Maybe talk to Dr. about tying this one out.. it but comes in the plastic quarts not in a powdered form. My hubby as a baby and his sis could not use the powdered formula simply liquids or they spit up fifty-fifty more.. My son is the same way. The also say for premature babies that they take a hard fourth dimension with powdered formula sometimes, and need to be on liquid ones merely.
This formula is GREAT...and another thing I loved to utilize is Gripe water, it is natural and my Ped. recomended it to utilize with or without Zantac to calm upset bellies.
Past the way being a mom of a Astringent acid reflux baby let me pass on this..when introducing foods..lookout man for signs of not tolerating by increased vomitting. My son can non deal with peaches..for some reason peaches are a nightmare and he throws up like he is personally out to get even with me. And then merely watch for "bad days" being due to a nutrient your munchkin can't handle.
Hope this helps some
